Boosting your Productivity

This past week I've noticed a reoccuring theme popping up for my Business Accelerator clients. One couldn't wait until the end of the week when she would be jetting off for some well deserved R&R. Another mentioned how tired and demotivated she was feeling and a third felt totally overwhelmed with her work load.

What I have discovered is that taking time out really is the key to boosting productivity.

I regularly block out days in my diary, special time, set aside just for me, free from family or work responsibilities and routines. I call them my 'Be nice to me days' which are penned into my diary regardless of how busy I am. After all if we don’t take essential care of ourselves, put ourselves first occasionally how useful will we be for our clients. When you're running a business YOU are the most important asset. Thomas Leonard, who was a key player in the field of personal and business coaching once said 'Without you, there is nothing.'

If you are serious about improving the quality of your business and personal life, you too need to block out ‘be nice to me days’ and NOW is a good time to start, it doesn’t matter what you do on your day so long as it removes you from the minutiae of everyday routines.

Diarise your ‘be nice to me day’, put it in your schedules and make the commitment and watch your productivity soar.
